Mary Ann Pope, 75, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2018 in Norfolk, Va. She was the wife of Wayne Murdock Pope. They shared 46 years of devoted marriage.

 

Born in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anne Pater. She graduated from Miami Jackson High school.  She was a tireless homemaker and dedicated small business owner.  Mary Ann enjoyed many hobbies and was a talented artist. She was known for her smile and was the life of every party. She will be missed by all who knew her.

 

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Wayne Murdock Pope; daughter Catherine Anne Pope Pierce; son Troy Thomas Pope; granddaughter Anjali Sage Pope; and sister Gail Elizabeth Davis.

 

Memorialization will be by cremation.

 

A celebration of life will be held in Mary Ann’s memory on October 13, 2018 at 2 pm at the Stokesville Baptist Church Social Hall.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Ann’s name to the American Heart Association.
