West Green Elementary Pre-K celebrated 26 years of Georgia Pre-K by inviting special guests to read to their classes. The lottery-funded Georgia Pre-K program is one of the finest in the nation. During its 26-year history, Georgia Pre-K has educated more than 1.6 million four-year-olds. This year, more than 81,000 children are enrolled in over 1,800 locations in all 159 Georgia counties.
Studies show that Georgia Pre-K improves school readiness by helping children grow across all learning domains including math, language and literacy, and social-emotional skills.
