Mrs. Mary Frances Zanders Davis, age 73 of West Green, passed away Thursday night, October 25, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born June 24, 1945 to the late Herb Zanders and the late Eliza Nipper Zanders. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Wayne Zanders and Bradford Zanders, and a sister, Glenda Faye Hartley.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She was a member of West Green Baptist Church. 

Survivors include: husband James Davis of West Green; children Alvin Davis and his wife Debbie of Douglas, Randy Davis and his wife Tammy of West Green, Louise Ortiz and her husband Reinaldo of Douglas, Michael Davis and his wife Angie of West Green; special friends Kathy Hartley of West Green, Sherry and Bobby Thomas of West Green; and siblings Jackie Zanders, Lamar Zanders, Lonzo Zanders and Vernell Maddox, all of Douglas; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2018, at 4 p.m. at West Green Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Bounds and Rev. Kyle Lott officiating. Special eulogies will be given by grandchildren Zachary Ortiz and Brandi Maze. The interment will follow in Full Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery in West Green.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, October 27, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
