Do you have a favorite dish in Douglas? Tell us what it is! Now is the time to show your love and nominate that dish in Explore Georgia’s 100 Plates Locals Love contest.

Since the beginning of this contest, several Douglas restaurants have made the list each year. The Carnivore pizza from Fireside Pizza, tomato pie from J & D Café, Holt’s Bakery glazed donuts, Holt’s Bakery dressing, and the steak gordita from Super Mercada Tarahurama have all made the list. Go ahead and add your favorite, it’s easy to nominate, and remember it has to be a local restaurant.

According to the Exploregeorgia.org website, nominations will be collected online through November 2018 and evaluated by a panel of judges, who will select the final list of 100 Plates Locals Love. The list will be published in 2019 on exploregeorgia.org and in the official state culinary guide “Georgia Eats.” Nominations are not votes. Individuals may submit several nominations, but, multiple nominations of the same dish will not guarantee a place on the final list. To submit your nomination today, go to https://www.exploregeorgia.org/100-plates-nominations . Let’s show our love for our local Douglas dishes!
