September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and students at ICE didn’t want to miss the opportunity to do their part. Throughout the month, the K-Kids, led by Mrs. Brittany Wooten and Mrs. Melissa LeFan, sold Cupcakes for a Cure. Each day some generous family and friends of ICE donated cupcakes which the K-Kids sold after lunch to raise money. Staff members also donated to the cause.

On Friday, November 2, Mrs. Tamara Morgan, principal of ICE, presented the Coffee County Childhood Cancer Group with a check for $2,517.43. Some Cardinal families have faced their own battles with childhood cancer including Ashton Morgan, Braydon Boone, Jim Aldridge, and Lauren Aldridge. The check was presented adjacent to the Lauren Aldridge Memorial Garden at ICE. Indian Creek Cardinals stand together in the fight against childhood cancer.
