Mrs. Emily Minix Vickers, age 78 of Ambrose, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 18, 2018 at Pruitt Health-Fitzgerald in Fitzgerald following an extended illness. Mrs. Vickers was born November 24, 1939 to the late Albert Minix and the late Miriam Grantham Minix. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Derrell Vickers; brother, Johnny Minix; and sister, Corrine Brantley.

 

Mrs. Minix was a homemaker. 

Survivors include son Terry Vickers of Savannah; daughter Tammy Harper of Rebecca; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, including a special niece, June Rowell of Douglas.

The graveside service and interment were Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Purvis Cemetery in Ambrose with Rev. Michael Harper officiating. 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
