Your friends at Coffee Regional Medical Center would like to remind you that the Healthcare Exchange Open Enrollment will end December 15.
Under the Federal Health Exchange, many citizens of Coffee and surrounding counties are currently uninsured or covered by a Blue Cross Blue Shield product called Pathways. For 2019, BCBS has decided to no longer offer this product in Coffee County. Fortunately, for the citizens of South Georgia, Ambetter Health has stepped in and will offer their product locally. Ambetter Health will be the only plan offered on the Health Exchange in Coffee County but will offer many different plan designs at different costs to the consumer.
The great news is that Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC), CRH Physician Practices, and Orthopedic Surgeons of GA will be network providers and will accept Ambetter Health effective January 1, 2019.
Open enrollment for ACA Healthcare Exchange began November 1 and will end December 15th.
Those enrolled during this time will have coverage effective January 1, 2019.
CRMC has local insurance agency Carter-Thompson Insurance assisting with the enrollment process. Agents will be available to discuss options that best fit applicant needs. Full details on pricing and insurance product will be available during open enrollment. CRMC will have dedicated enrollment support available in the Patient Financial Services (PFS) department for enrollment support Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 8am to 5:30pm. PFS is located at 196 Westside Drive, across from CRMC. PFS can be reached by calling (912) 383-5614. Applicants can also enroll at Carter Thompson Insurance Inc., located at 201 Ashley Street across from Central Square Complex, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Carter Thompson Insurance Inc. can be reached by calling (912) 384-1363.
Coffee Regional is pleased to again be in network for the local Health Exchange offering and looks forward to an active open enrollment period and assisting those in the community interested in obtaining coverage for 2019.
