Cecil Railey, age 77, of Ambrose, passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Vista Park. Mr. Railey was born on August 8, 1941 in Coffee County, the son of the late William Bill Railey and Annie Ricketson Railey.

 

He worked as a maintenance supervisor with Hope Housing in Waycross and was a member of Bethany Holiness Baptist Church, Ambrose.

 

Mr. Railey was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Railey; son, Chris Railey; grandchild, Hunter Railey; three brothers, Raymond Railey, Leon Railey and Gerald Railey; and a sister, Mildred Jones.

 

Survivors include three sons, Johnny Railey (Brenda) of Douglas, Michael Railey (Cathy) of Denton, and Steven Lamar Railey of Ambrose; sister, Shirley Merritt of Broxton; three brothers, George Railey, Herman Railey and Pete Railey, all of Broxton; daughter-in-law, Pam Railey of Ambrose; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2 pm at Bethany Church Cemetery, Ambrose, with Rev. Don Lott officiating.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
