Evelyn J. Buchan, age 88, of Douglas, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at The Landings of Douglas. Mrs. Buchan was born on July 7, 1930, in Douglas to the late Thomas Mike Johnson and Udell Bordeaux Johnson.
Survivors include: Daughters Sandra (Lauren) Nobles of St Simons Island, Freida Hutchison of Douglas, Chera (Joel) Ganger of Douglas; sister Dorothy Duke of Douglas; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Derward Frank Buchan; father Thomas Mike Johnson; mother Udell Bordeaux Johnson; and son-in-law Bobby Hutchison.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
