Tommy Wayne Grantham, age 68, of Douglas, passed away on Sunday January 6, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Grantham was born on October 10, 1950 in Douglas, the son of the late Willie Grantham and Alma Lott Grantham.
He was an independent distributer for the Georgia Times Union and was a member of Rocky Pond Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Grantham.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ann Shook Grantham of Douglas; son, Chris Grantham (Liz) of Douglas; grandchildren, Neely Ann Grantham, Ivey Lane Grantham, and Chapel Maxine Grantham; two brothers, Danny Grantham of Douglas and W.L. Grantham (Nadine) of Douglas; two sisters, Maude Merritt (Aldean) of Wray and Bobbie Wright (LeRoy) of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 2 pm at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Larry Stone officiating. He will lay-in-state at the church at 1 pm to 2 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 9 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
