Albert Leo Carpenter Sr., age 58, of Nicholls, passed away on Sunday January 20, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Carpenter was born on August 5, 1960 in Wheeler County, West Virginia and was the son of the late James William Carpenter Sr. and Shirley Louise Goodwin Carpenter.
He worked as carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Jean Carpenter of Nicholls; two sons, Albert L. Carpenter Jr. (Judy) and Paul Anthony Carpenter; daughter, Christina Lee Carpenter; five brothers, Davis Carpenter, Robert Carpenter (Debra), Calvin Carpenter (Teresa), John Carpenter and James Carpenter; eight grandchildren; mother-in-law, Jean Creamer; several nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Memorial services will be held Thursday evening January 24, 2019 at 7 pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
Memorialization is by cremation.
