Franklin Wilson, age 68, of Douglas, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Wilson was born on December 12, 1950 in Lakeland, Florida, the son of the late David Edward (Bascom) Wilson and Lizzie Mae Fox Wilson. He was a self-employed master carpenter.

 

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by a grandchild, Ivey Grace Corbitt; three sisters, Opal Wilson, Wilma Ellis and Annette Vickery; two brothers, Donald Wilson and David Edward Wilson; and significant other, Arlene Miller.

 

Survivors include four sons, Eddie H. Wilson of Douglas, Greg Wilson (Tammy) of Pearson, Jason Wilson (Ashley) of Douglas, and Aaron Wilson (Jennifer) of Douglas; three daughters, Amy Corbitt (Stacey) of Douglas, Elizabeth Bowen (Greg) of Douglas, and Latasha White (Bill) of Charlevoix, Michigan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Pearson with Rev. George Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 pm until 1:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
