Oliver Davis Arnold, age 76, of Douglas, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Arnold was born on October 4, 1942 in Ft. Myers, Florida the son of the late Clarrie Herbert Arnold and Bertie Mae Rainer Arnold.

 

He was a retired manager with K Mart, a police officer with Atkinson County Police Department and was a veteran in the United States Navy.

 

Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Wayne Corbitt, and several sisters and brothers.

 

Survivors include his wife, Faye Hightower Arnold of Douglas; daughter, Pamela Michelle Arnold Corbitt of Douglas; two sisters, Shirley Mullinax (James) of Dillard and Della Arnold of Waycross; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 21, 2019 at 11 am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 pm until 9 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
