Longtime Coffee County resident Amanda Kay Floyd Wynn, a mom, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, and a friend to many, was called home on February, 23 2019 at the age of 35.

She was born in Douglas on September 29, 1983. She was a student at Coffee High and attended our local South Georgia College. Amanda was a dedicated hard working previous employee of The Therapy Tree in Douglas. Amanda, while known as a rambler, had lifelong connections to Coffee County and leaves loving memories of all the unforgettable moments she shared with her loved ones here.

Amanda often answered to “Sister” or “Aunt Manda.” She was the light in a room. She radiated positivity, and could work circles around most. She loved life, and was always a loyal friend. She had a loving spirit that carried her, and a drive that could have brought her anywhere. To know her was to love her.

Amanda was survived by her most cherished possessions, her children: Thomas Logan Wynn, 12 years old and Saylor Grace Cauley, 2 years old, Douglas; her mother Rhonda Kay Floyd; her sisters Shannon Hay Pitts, and Tara Harden Lee; her brothers Johnny Ryan Floyd, and Brian Scott Ward.

Amanda was welcomed into heaven by her father Johnny Wayne Floyd, and grandparents Jo Phillips, Dora Pearl “Nana” Floyd, and Vernon “Pete” Floyd.
Visitation for Amanda will be Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 6-9 pm at Sims Funeral Home. Her service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Sims Funeral Home Chapel at 4pm with burial services to follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will be receiving visitors at her sisters home at 213 Basswood Dr Douglas, Ga. after the services. We are eternally grateful for the unconditional love and support and most importantly for loving our Amanda Floyd.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 6:00 Pm to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
