Bobby Lonnie Mann, age 82, of Nicholls, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Mann was born on March 29, 1936, in Polk County, Florida to the late Lonnie Mann and Lovie Williams Mann.

 

Mr. Mann was retired Master Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy serving last on the USS Ticonderoga. He served during the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delora King Mann, and daughter, Tammy Mann,

 

His survivors include: Daughter, Teresa (Robert) Johns of Nicholls; son, Chris (Dephne) Gandy of Haines City, Fla.; sister, Flaura Knowles of Auburndale, Fla.; grandchildren Delora Bohannon, James Bohannon, Kayla and husband Shane Woods, Angel (Chino) Moreno, Britney Gandy, Christopher Gandy, Isiah Gandy; and fifteen great grandchildren : 

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery with military honors by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
