First Academy is pleased to announce that it will be adding ninth grade for the 2019-2020 school year. Classes now range from one year olds through ninth grade. All registration for the 2019-2020 school year is online at www.firstacademydouglas.org. Priority enrollment begins March 1st for our current families and First Baptist Church members. Open enrollment for the public begins Wednesday, March 6.

First Academy is a ministry of First Baptist Douglas and is passionate about building a Christian educational legacy in Coffee County by providing an academically challenging environment that puts Christ first. The focus is educating the next generation with a biblical worldview, so they will grow to be strong in their faith, can defend their faith, and will live out their faith to impact the world.

First Academy is fully accredited with quality by the Georgia Accrediting Commission with a biblical worldview curriculum that aligns with the Georgia Standards and National Standards. Students consistently perform at or above national standards of achievement with most students testing multiple grade levels higher. The curriculum reflects that the pursuit of excellence should be every student’s goal with a strong foundation and understanding of a biblical worldview.

First Academy offers a weekly chapel service, Bible, art, music, chess and other extra-curricular activities to create well-rounded students. The school is a member of the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association (GICAA) allowing students to compete in various competitions. First Academy continues to compete in the various GICAA Academic Days and Fine Art competitions.

In accordance to the school’s mission, First Academy partners with families in order to provide an environment of academic excellence with Biblical knowledge, while preparing students to be young people of character who represent the Lord, Jesus Christ in all walks of life. The school’s vision is to impact the world by preparing students to become Godly warriors, as they implement discipleship, encourage integrity, and expect excellence.

At First Academy, your child is a highly valued individual preparing to be a lifelong learner and disciple of Christ.
