Madison Reece Hampton, age 18, passed away on Saturday March 2, 2019 at Augusta University Medical Center. Reece was born on May 21, 2000 in Ocilla, the daughter of Michael and Suzan Tanner Hampton.

 

Reece was a 2018 honor graduate of Coffee County High School where she played on the tennis team and an active member of FCCLA. She attended South Georgia State College and was a member of Stokesville Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include her parents, Michael and Suzan Hampton of Douglas; brother, Tanner Hampton of Douglas; grandparents, Donnie and Marilyn Tanner of Douglas and Emmett and Brenda Hampton of Ambrose; boyfriend, Nolan Wood of Douglas; aunts and uncles, Bryon and Carrie Tanner of Douglas, Marty and Sabrina Hampton of Willacoochee, and Misty Hampton of Douglas; a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at 4 pm at The Sanctuary with Rev. Jerry Chancey and Rev. Chris Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Stokesville Church Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Childhood Cancer Awareness, PO Box 1203, Douglas, GA 31534.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
