The Coffee County Farm Bureau YF&R Junior Board is proud to announce its Ag Spotlight student, Jaksen Lott. The purpose of the Ag Spotlight is to feature a member of the FFA or 4-H who has exemplified attributes such as leadership, determination, diligence and charity.
Jaksen is the son of Jeremy and Brooke Lott of West Green. Jaksen is a sophomore at Coffee High and is currently serving as the 2018-2019 Area 6 FFA Junior Officer.
Jaksen has been an active FFA member since 6th grade. He served as Sentinel for the CMS FFA chapter during his 7th and 8th grade years and as Vice-President of the GWFC FFA chapter during his freshman year. His participation in FFA has afforded him the opportunity to experience team building activities and competitions, public speaking and leadership development.
Jaksen received the Discovery Degree during his 8th grade year under the leadership of Mr. Stodghill and Mrs. Hester. The following year, he received the Greenhand Degree under the leadership of Mr. Highsmith. He has competed in the meat judging competition five consecutive years with his team winning the area competition the last four. Jaksen scored high individual in grades 7, 9, and 10 in the meat judging competition.
He has also competed in the Discussion Meet CDE, Parli Pro, Livestock Judging, Creed Speaking, and Forestry. Jaksen has enjoyed every second of serving those around him through the FFA while learning countless valuable skills that will follow him throughout his life.
