School system to host summer meal program

The Coffee County School Nutrition Program will operate the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) through the National School Breakfast and School Lunch Program. Through this program, meals are served free of charge to children 18 years and under at designated Summer Feeding sites. The school system would like to partner with you in making sure children in Coffee County are fueled for fun this summer. Meals will be served Mondays-Thursdays from June 3 – July 11 (no meals will be served the week of July 1-5). Sites may choose to serve breakfast, lunch or both.

If you are interested in becoming a feeding site, please visit the Coffee County School System website at www.coffee.k12.ga.us to download and complete an application. You may submit it via mail or email by April 12th. All SSO sites will be notified of approval by May 2, 2019. If you have questions, please call Coffee County School Nutrition at 912-389-6517, or email sue.farmer@coffee.k12.ga.us.
