Clarence “Greg” Watson, age 52, of Douglas, passed away on Thursday April 18, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Watson was born on September 27, 1966 in Lakeland, the son of Clarence Watson and the late Mary Dale Hall Watson. He was owner of Brinson Rentals, owned a lawn care business and was a car salesman. Mr. Watson was a member of The Sanctuary.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Griffis Watson of Douglas; daughter, Grier Watson of Lakeland; two sons, Brandon Roberts of Ocilla and Rhett Watson (Haley) of Douglas; father, Clarence Watson of Douglas; four grandchildren, Scarlet Roberts, Cuyler Mazur, Emersyn Watson and Lennon Watson; two brothers, Will Watson of Lakeland and Kenny Watson (Angie) of Lakeland; sister, Sissi Watson (Newt) of Nashville; mother-in-law, Hazel Brinson of Douglas; brother-in-law, Cam Brinson of Douglas; father-in-law, Aden Griffis; sister-in-law, Lori Burham (Kenny); several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday, April 22, 2019 at The Sanctuary with Rev. Bob Powell, Rev. Barry Peavy and Rev. Gwen Jarriel officiating. Interment will follow at Empire Cemetery in Lanier County.

 

Sims Funeral Home in Douglas is in charge of arrangements.
