Ms. Verneal Hall Grantham, age 74 of Broxton, passed away early Sunday morning, May 5, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Ms. Grantham was born October 17, 1944 to the late Elmon Hall and the late Wilma Lucille Wright Hall. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie B. Courson; two brothers, Bobby L. Batten and Joe Ben Batten; brother-in-law Ralph Courson; and sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Batten.

Ms. Grantham, a native of Douglas, was a homemaker and a member of Broxton Church of God.

Survivors include: Children Kevin Grantham and wife Donna of Broxton and Pam Melton and husband Johnny of Blackshear; grandchildren Dustin Williams and wife Kellyn of Broxton, Casey Norris of Blackshear, Kelly Grantham and fiancee’ Colby Herrin of Douglas, Jennifer Jowers and husband Justin of Denton, Tiffany McKinnon and husband Brian of Douglas; great grandchildren Braylen Williams and Zayden Williams, both of Broxton, Jax Jowers and Jimma Jowers both of Denton, Joseph Norris of Blackshear, Tanner McKinnon and Tucker McKinnon, both of Douglas; brothers James “Punkin” Hall and wife Candie of Douglas and Ronnie Hall of Pearson; sisters LaRue Wright and husband Johnny of Douglas, Debra Hall of Pearson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Broxton Church of God with Rev. Joey Copeland and Bro. Marlon Smith officiating. Mrs. Grantham will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. to lie in state until the funeral hour. The interment will follow in Tanner Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
