Three men were jailed recently on multiple felony charges following a violent burglary that occurred last month.

On April 4, 2019, around 7:30 a.m., three men entered a residence on Otter’s Way. During the course of the burglary, one of the men encountered the homeowner and struck him several times in the head with a shotgun, which had been taken from a bedroom in the residence.

The perpetrators left the location in a white Ford Ranger, and the victim was taken to Coffee Regional Medical Center for treatment of the injuries sustained from the assault.

Following an investigation by Coffee County detectives, Kadeem Jones, Christopher Carpenter, and Ryan Rish were ultimately arrested.

While officers were attempting to execute an arrest warrant for Rish on May 5, 2019, the suspect fled on foot into a wooded area. After a brief foot pursuit, Rish was apprehended and charged with obstruction of an officer and carrying a concealed weapon. Rish was also charged with first degree burglary in connection to the April incident.

Jones was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and first degree burglary, and Carpenter faces one count of first degree burglary.
