Holiday Inn Express holds grand re-opening

On Thursday, May 23, the Douglas-Coffee County community celebrated the grand re-opening and ribbon cutting celebration for Holiday Inn Express and Suites located at 1636 S. Peterson Ave.

Following a $1.5 million renovation, the 65-room hotel is beautifully decorated and provides numerous amenities including a well-equipped fitness center, large breakfast area, indoor pool, business center and 150+ seating capacity event center.   Several community members, friends and family were in attendance to thank the Patel Family for their investment in the Douglas-Coffee County community. On behalf of Sanjay Patel and Dinesh Patel and the Patel family, Harsh Patel extended gratitude to the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce for organizing the event, Mayor Tony Paulk, City of Douglas first responders, investors for the project, and especially, Holiday Inn Manager, Tammy Chaney and staff who went above and beyond to meet the needs of their customers throughout the massive year and a half renovation process.

Ms. Chaney’s pastor, Cliff Kirkland from Saving Grace Ministries, prayed for God’s blessings and protection over the Patel Family, staff and future guests.   Following the ribbon cutting, the staff provided tours of the facility, hosted a delicious dinner and held a drawing for door prizes.   Winners of gift certificates were Cindy McNeill, Michael Lott, and Erica Walker with the grand prize winner of a 50-inch screen smart TV, Megan Rabun.

Be sure to give Holiday Inn Express and Suites a call at 912-384-2100 or stop by to see them at 1636 S. Peterson Avenue in Douglas for accommodation needs for out-of-town guests and events.
