Elias B. Lott, age 94, of Douglas, passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Bacon County Hospital in Alma. Mr. Lott was born on February 16, 1925 in Douglas, the son of the late James Monroe Lott and Ruth Barnes Lott.
He worked as a salesman for Lott Builders for twenty-eight years and with the USDA as a crop adjuster. Mr. Lott was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and a member of West Green United Methodist Church.
Mr. Lott was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Smith.
Survivors include his wife of seventy-one years, Elnora Mobley Lott of Douglas; daughter, Janna Kurchin and husband Robert of Douglas; three sons, Freddy Lott and wife Lou of Douglas, Ricky Lott and wife Lavonda of West Green, and David A. Lott and wife Sandra of Douglas; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday June 7, 2019 at 10 am at West Green United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl McDonald officiating. A grandson, Kyle Lott, will give the eulogy. Interment will follow at Wilcox Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Untied States Navy Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Caroline Ables, Katy Lott, Becky Morgan, Casey Lott, Harrison Lott, Chad Lott, Heidi Welch, Jeremy English, and Joslyn Laster. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 pm until 9 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
