Hilda Harper McKinnon, age 70, of Uvalda, passed away on Thursday June 13, 2019 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Mrs. McKinnon was born on May 5, 1949 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late James Arthur Harper and Lizzie Bryant Harper.
She was a sales associate with WalMart and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe Roy Roberts Jr and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Harper Fussell.
Survivors include husband, Jesse McKinnon of Uvalda; two daughters, Cecelia Dykes of McRae and Cheryl Young (husband Donald) of Enigma; son, Jerome McKinnon of Enigma; five grandchildren, Brooke Dykes, Josh Dykes, Alayna Dykes, Jessica Young and Donna Jo Young; three great grandchildren; brother, Russell Harper of Douglas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday June 17, 2019 at 11 am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McEachern officiating. Interment followed at Salem Church Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
