CRMC hosts UGA professors for leadership session

Coffee Regional Medical Center recently hosted members of the University of Georgia Terry College of Business faculty for a class that is part of the UGA certificate program in leadership. Two full time UGA professors, Dr. Don Anderson and Dr. Troy Montgomery, provided the full day session on Change Leadership.

In addition to nine leaders from CRMC, there were six leaders from other organizations in Coffee County who completed the class: Coffee County Schools, PCC Airfoils, Premium Peanut and the Douglas Coffee County Chamber.

The CRMC senior leadership team has now completed two classes of the five needed for completion of the certificate program. UGA brought their A-Team to Douglas and CRMC was proud to host them for what should be the first of several sessions held in Douglas. The next class is expected to be scheduled later this fall. As part of this effort, UGA and Wiregrass Technical College plan to partner on future leadership academy offerings. Wiregrass has an outstanding faculty member, Millie Ward, who will be offering both caregiver and leader customer service training at CRMC later this summer. Millie is an economic development instructor at Wiregrass with extensive experience in the automotive industry.

All of these efforts will help to assure the CRMC team is posed to implement and sustain a patient centered strategic plan and growth efforts into the future.

For more information regarding future classes, please contact: Jeanie Kearns at CRMC by calling (912) 384-1900.
