Mrs. Ruby Carolyn Allen, 78 of Waycross, passed away June 20, 2019 at her home. She was born in Whitespring, Fla., to the late Samuel Brantley and Rosey Vaughn Brantley. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband John Allen of Waycross; children Pat Alisua, Brenda Bryant, Linda Fowler, Edward Elmore and Edwin Elmore; brother John Brantley; step-daughter Tammy Scarbrough; grandchildren Alan Mercer, Michael Mercer, Chasity Brannen, Wendel Brannen and Presley Brannen; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside services will be held Monday June 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the City Of Douglas Cemetery with Rev. Toby Gale officiating. 

Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
