Frank Allen White, Jr. age 74, of Cumming, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Northside Hospital.  Mr. White was born on June 24, 1945, in Douglas to the late Frank Allen White, Sr. and Margaret Ethelle Kirkland White.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Elizabeth Cantrell White of Cumming; his sons Greg Dunagan  (Robin) Dunagan of Canton, Zachary White (Beth) of Fairfax Station, Virginia, and Adam White of Hawaii; his brothers John White (Candace) and David White (Cookie); his grandchildren Drake Dunagan, Cassie Dunagan, and Margaret Elizabeth White; his nieces Heather Preston (Robert), Jennifer Bair (Ricky), Kelsey Pirrotta (Aaron) and Jessie White; his nephew Corey White; his great nephews Montgomery Preston,  Zean Preston and Bolden Bair; and his great nieces: Lena Pirrotta, Lucia Pirrotta.and Berkley Bair; and 35 first cousins.

 

Frank worked as an industrial engineer for over 40 years and taught at Lanier Technical College.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Army where he was awarded the Bronze Medal of Honor for his service.  He was an avid runner involved in the Atlanta Track Club and ran the Peachtree Road Race every year for 16 years.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Saginaw Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Kirkland and Rev. Herbert Box officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
