JoAnn Minshew, age 71, of Broxton, passed away on Monday morning July 22, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Minshew was born on March 20, 1948 in Telfair County, the daughter of the late Johnnie Hulett and Clifford Beulah Hart Hulett.

She worked as a pharmacy technician with Broxton Pharmacy and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Paulk and two brothers, John Hulett and Ralph Hulett.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur “Bug” Minshew of Broxton; daughter, Deweese Minshew of Broxton; son, Brent Minshew (wife Maggi) of Broxton; three grandchildren, Cole Minshew, Cameron Minshew and Emily Dovers; four sisters, Debra Smith (husband Darrell) of Broxton, Marilyn Rish (husband Archie) of Broxton, Margaret Pridgen of Vidor, Texas and Agnes Jones (husband Roy) of Byron; two brothers, Earl Hulett (wife Marlene) of St. Marys and Gerald Frank Hulett (wife Kathy) of Jacksonville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Interment will follow at Pridgen Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at Sims Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Cameron Minshew, Brenton Minshew, Cole Minshew, Mason Solomon, George Boyd and Alex Williams.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
