Mrs. Bernice Jewell Crosby, age 71 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas following an extended illness.

Survivors include: Son, Erie Crosby of Axson; daughter, JeanaCrosby of Axson; brothers, Gerald Jewell of Douglas, J.R. Jewell of Douglas, and Merrill Jewell of Douglas; sisters, Doris Mizell of Axson, Shirley Meeler of Douglas, Judy Lott of Douglas, and Donna Gail Paulk of Alma; grandson, Blake Crosby; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Crosby were held Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Stokesville Baptist Church Cemetery in Axsonwith Bishop Jerry Waldron officiating. The interment followed at Stokesville Baptist Church Cemetery.
