Martha Latrelle Chaney, age 64, of Broxton, passed away on Sunday September 8, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Chaney was born on April 11, 1955 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late James Cleveland Hersey and the late Gladys Rubymae Greer Hersey.

She worked as CNA at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woody S. Pate Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela Hope Bennett of Broxton and Shanda Diane Cato of Douglas; son, William Shannon Chaney of Douglas; six grandchildren, Blake Chaney, Danielle Chaney, Cheyenne Chaney, Tyler Harrell, Lex Bennett and Jarrett Cato; three great grandchildren, Jordan Chaney, Asher Chaney and Luciano Hernandez; sister, Janice Music of Nicholls; four brothers, James Hersey of Nicholls, Kenney Hersey of Douglas, Ronnie Hersey of North Carolina and Mike Hersey of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to help with funeral expenses.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
