A time to be born: On September 6, 1998, Ella Nora McKinnon was born to Ms. Karen Ann McKinnon.
A time to die: Ella Nora McKinnon age 20. God saw the road getting rough, hills were hard to climb, so he gently closed her eyes and whispered “Peace be still,” and Ella slept away peacefully. The heavenly gates stood ajar and Ella walked serenely through on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at home.
A time to grow: Growing up Ella received her education in the Coffee County School System. She attended Nicholls Elementary School, Coffee Middle School and Coffee High School, graduating in 2017.
A time to serve God: Ella joined St. James A.M.E. church in Nicholls at an early age and was a faithful member. She was very active in the church in whatever capacity asked of her and what she could to help her church. She served as an usher and a member of the YPD (Young People Department). She enjoyed going to church and working for the Lord. Ella worked faithfully until her health began to fail.
A time for mankind: Ella had a special gift of kindness and sweetness. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and kept them laughing. If Ella could be of any help regardless of the situation, she did her best to make someone life better and easier.
A time to mourn: Ella leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted mother Karen Ann McKinnon, Nicholls, GA; Dedicated, devoted and loving grandparents Georgia & Willie James McKinnon Sr., Nicholls, GA. She is also survived by two uncles, Willie McKinnon, Jr., Sandy (Shayla) McKinnon, of Nicholls, GA; two aunts Miranda B. McKinnon of Helena, GA, Tracy McKinnon of Douglas, GA; two Great Uncles, Willie Bryant of Nicholls, GA and Henry (Mary Lou) McKinnon of Jacksonville, FL; one Great Aunt, Carolyn McGowan of California; Cousins- Jimmy McKinnon, and Darrell McKinnon of Atlanta, GA; Marquis McKinnon of Douglas, GA; Kameron Preston of Nicholls, GA; Evonne McKinnon of Helena, GA, Chasity McKinnon of Douglas, GA, Ajahla McKinnon of Albany, GA, Brittany Welch of Alma, GA, Sandee Rhea and Sassidy McKinnon of Nicholls, GA, Amia Cosby and MaLiak Jones of Albany, GA; Special cousins- Reginald, Bryant and Kennedy Honors of Houston, Texas; special friend Lisa McMillian, Boss lady Sissy Nelson and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at St. James AME Church in Nicholls, GA. Burial followed in the Nicholls City Cemetery, Nicholls.
