The State 4-H/FFA Goat Show will be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds on October 3-5.  Showmanship classes will be held on Friday, October 4, with the wether show immediately following. Does will be shown on Saturday, October 5. If you are in Perry for the fair, please stop by the livestock arena and support the members participating.

4-H participants include: Hayden Gay, Hollyn Gay, Kyleigh Gay, McKenzie Gay, Leo McIver, Jonathan Sayer, Olivia Thomas, Natalie Tuten, Nora White, and Reid White.

Each year, Georgia 4-H members are encouraged to enter contests at the Georgia National Fair. This year, the following students will be participating in contests: Computer Graphics: Glenn O’Steen; Cupcake Masters: Emelia Brown and Joella Carver. Family Decorated Pumpkin: Taleea Adams and Palin Seawright. Family Scarecrow: Taleea Adams, Alayna Futch, and Nevaeh Moore; Family Seed Art: Taleea Adams. Instant Camera Photography: Dayanne Chavez; Mini-booth Contest: Jeremiah Brantley, Amelia Crockett, Muskan Minhas, and Ishika Sadarangani; Recycling Contest: Taleea Adams, Kaitlyn Britt, Jake Grantham, and Ishika Sadarangani; Terrarium: Taleea Adams. Variety Show: Jake Grantham, Palin Seawright, and Kaitlyn Tanner. Pet Therapy Club

4-H members who have friendly pets are invited to join our 4-H Pet Therapy Club which will take friendly pets to visit the residents at the local assisted living centers like Vista Park, The Landings, and Lakeside Senior Center. This is a great community service project which allows the residents to pet friendly animals and visit with the students. Sign up today at the 4-H office. You must have a friendly pet to participate in this club!

Junior 4-H Conference

Let’s get together for an awesome weekend at Rock Eagle 4-H Center where you will be having loads of fun with friends from all over the state of Georgia. You will meet new friends, do service projects, participate in workshops and an exhibit fair, have a dance, and see Clovers & Company perform. The conference will be held on November 16-17 at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center and will cost around $90. A 4-H Medical Information Release Form and Code of Conduct form must be turned in at registration.

If you have questions about the Coffee County 4-H Club program, or questions around the farm or home, please feel free to contact the Coffee County Extension office at (912) 384-1402. Remember, we are YOUR local connection to the University of Georgia.
