Mrs. Norma Jean Letchworth Rowland, age 73, of Douglas, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Mrs. Rowland was born on December 29, 1945, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Rufus Raymond Letchworth and Rosalee Hutchinson Letchworth.

Survivors include:  Husband Bobby Rowland of Douglas; daughter Shelia Davis of Covington; sons Robert (wife, Cynthia) Williams of Dudley, George (wife, Linda) Williams of Douglas, John (wife, Lori) Williams of Columbia, S.C., Carl  (wife, Angela) Williams of Brooklet; sisters Rosa Ann Martin of Nicholls, Linda Keller of Wauchula, Fa., and Ruby Nichols of Riverview, Fla.; several grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother; Rufus Letchworth.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 4:00 pm at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. J.A. Anderson and Rev. Britt Peavy officiating.

Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
