Kaycee Hopwood named CRMC compliance officer

Coffee Regional Medical Center’s Board of Directors recently appointed Kaycee Walker Hopwood as the Compliance Officer for the Medical Center.

Hopwood joined Coffee Regional Medical Center in January of 2018 as in-house legal counsel and will continue to work in that role. Hopwood will also oversee and monitor Coffee Regional Medical Center’s compliance program, which is designed to perpetuate a culture that promotes compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as healthcare payor requirements.

“Kaycee’s background coupled with her success and contributions to our organization since joining our team as in-hospital counsel, make her the perfect candidate for this position,” said Vicki Lewis, President and CEO of Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Hopwood, who was born and raised in Coffee County, holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and a Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.  Prior to joining Coffee Regional Medical Center, Kaycee practiced law at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a law firm based in Chicago, Illinois, where she was promoted to partner in 2014.
