Chamber to host class to help retail businesses as holidays approach

The Douglas-Coffee Chamber of Commerce Vice President Lisa Hodge announces a class is being held for local retail businesses to help boost sales before the holiday rush.  Participants will have an opportunity to learn valuable retail strategies from experts in the field from the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC).  Walt Moore, SBDC Director explained, “Business owners who attend this class will learn key retail practices as well as how to reach customers in today’s digital world.  Participants will receive a copy of the SBDC Retail Business Guide and other tools to help enhance retail performance.”

Local retailers are encouraged to register as soon as possible to take advantage of the early bird discount. The class is scheduled on Oct. 29 from 9AM to 4PM at the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce located at 114 N Peterson Avenue in Douglas.

Registration is discounted at $39 (including lunch and materials) when using the early bird discount code:  RETAIL. Register online: www.GeorgiaSBDC.org/accelretail

The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center is committed to growing Georgia’s businesses.  With 17 offices throughout the state, UGA SBDC’s mission is to enhance the economic well-being of Georgians by providing a wide range of educational services for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
