Mr. Richard Olen Jackson, age 72, of Axson, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas following an extended illness. 

A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Jackson was born August 20, 1947, son of Mr. Harley C. Quail and Ms. Nancy Alice Jackson. Coming from Sanford, Fla., he had made his home in Axson for the past five years. For many years, Mr. Jackson worked as a truck driver with Barr-Nunn Trucking. Along with spending time with family and friends, he also loved to fish. Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Marine veteran.

Survivors include: Wife Carolyn Jackson of Axson; daughters Michelle Allen and husband, Kevin of Orlando, Fla. and Sandy Register and husband, Bobby of Pearson; brother Walter Jackson of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, six great-grandchildren along with several other relatives also survive.

Memorialization was by cremation.

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
