Mrs. Laura Jane Powell, age 89 of Willacoochee, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, following a brief illness.
Survivors include: Sons Bremon Powell and wife Virginia Mathis of Pearson and Johnnie Powell and wife Doris B. of Douglas; grandchildren Anita Ford and husband Henry of Nashville, Michael Powell and wife Candy of Pearson, Bryan Powell of Gainesville, Fla., Eva Powell of Douglas, and Melanie McKinnon of Columbia, S.C.; 14 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Powell will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee Church of God with Rev. Lance Taylor, Rev. Britt Peavy, and Rev. Jonathon Smith. The interment will follow in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Powell will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga..
Mrs. Powell will lie in state at the Willacoochee Church of God on Tuesday, November 05, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M.
