Ms. Lola Mae Rawlins Burch, age 91, of Douglas, passed away early Monday morning, November 18, 2019, at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. Ms. Burch was born September 2, 1928 to the late Harvey B. Rawlins and the late Mary Ellen Harper Rawlins. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Aubrey Burch; one son, David Burch; and siblings, Madelyn Lawson and George Harvey Rawlins.

Ms. Burch, a native of Coffee County, was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a retired special services paraprofessional of Coffee County Board of Education and a long-time private childcare provider.

Survivors include: Children: Donna Veal and husband Jerden of Nicholls, Dan Burch and special friend Gay Atkinson of West Green, Dawn Moore and husband Stan of Douglas; daughter-in-law Carolyn Parrish Burch of Lakeland; grandchildren Trey (Jennifer) Veal of Nicholls, Erin (Chris) Watson of Nashville, Kristy (Robert) Jackson of Lakeland, Ashley (Josh) Jasper of Eagle River, Alaska, Hannah (Ian) Turner of Warner Robins, Darby Lee Burch of Dupont, Haley (Brad) Foster of Douglas, Jacob (Aly) Moore of Douglas; great grandchildren Kylee and Kallen Jackson of Lakeland, Esme’ and Rainer Watson of Nashville, Banks and Livi Kate Foster of Douglas, Samuel Moore of Douglas, and Garrett Burch of Nicholls; siblings Evelyn Chatjian of Daytona Beach, Fla., Rebecca Kirkland of Snipesville, Donald Rawlins of Stockbridge, and Joe Rawlins of Broxton; several nieces and enphews.

The graveside service and interment was Wednesday morning, November 20, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at the family lot of Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
