Mr. Robert Wilcox O’Steen

Mr. Robert Wilcox O’Steen, of West Green and Hiawassee died on November 23, 2019 in Bacon County after an extended battle with cancer. Mr. O’Steen was born on April 15, 1942 to the late Robert Lee O’Steen and the late Cadwin Mobley O’Steen.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Willene Wooten O’Steen; a daughter, Dawn Shipp and her husband, Trey; and two sons, Jonathan O’Steen and his wife, Emily, and Justin O’Steen and his wife Ashley. Eight grandchildren also survive. They are Elizabeth and Ben Shipp and Aden, Alivia, Susannah, Ozzie, Isabel and Beau O’Steen. He is also survived by a sister, Karen Grantham Smith and her husband, Guy; and her children, Jan Grantham Scott and Ronald Grantham and their families.

A graveside service will be held at Wilcox Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 25, with the Rev. Chris Calhoun officiating. The Google map address for the cemetery is Wilcox Cemetery, Nicholls, GA 31544. It is at the intersection of Old Bell Telephone Road and Mimms Baptist Church Road. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to West Green United Methodist Church, c/o Karen Smith, 3769 George Deen Road, Broxton, GA 31519 or the charity of your choice.
