Bonnie Lou Stone, age 74, of Douglas, passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Stone was born on May 11, 1945 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late Curtis “Buddy” Kirkland and the late Myrtice Harper Kirkland. She worked as an inspector for P.C.C. and was a member Trinity Non-Denominational Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mann Kirkland and Dexter (Boy) Kirkland; and two sisters, Geraldine Lott and Linda Kirkland.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam Stone of Douglas and Tammy Carpenter (James) of Vienna; son, Rod Stone (Tammy) of Douglas; two sisters, Betty Sue “Sweeton” Wilkens of Nicholls and Patsy Spivey (Larry) of Douglas; brother, David Kirkland (Marlene) of Douglas; four grandchildren, Megan S. Myers (Ray) of Douglas, Breana Carver of Savannah, Bud Stone of Douglas, and Jarrett Stone of Douglas; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Sunday December 1, 2019 at Trinity Non-Denominational Church at 4:00pm with Rev. Floyd Musgrove and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. 

Memorials may be made to Trinity Non-Denominational Church, 117 Warren Carter Rd., Douglas, GA 31533 or Saving Grace Ministries, 1149 Dewberry Rd. Douglas, GA 31535.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
