Ms. Imogene Faulkner Smith, age 81 of Douglas, passed away Sunday morning, December 1, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Smith was born August 4, 1938 to the late Reason Faulkner and the late Mamie McNeal Faulkner. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Smith and a son, Jerry Dewayne Smith.

Ms. Smith, a native of Irwin County, was a homemaker.

Survivors include: Children: Elmer Ricky Smith and wife Wanda of Broxton, Michael Tyrone Smith of Douglas, and Alicia Jean White and husband Jackson of Douglas; special friend Donnie Sears of Douglas; 10 grandchildren, Donna Michelle Smith, Amber Diane Smith Jones, Justin Ricky Smith, Jana Grace Ricketson, Haley Michele Smith, Christopher Brian Smith, JaDawn White, Kayla Smith, Jeremy Smith and Jennifer Smith; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The graveside service will be Tuesday morning, December 3, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Rocky Pond Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
