Mr. Roy Mizell, Jr., age 81, of Axson, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Survivors include: Wife Doris Mizell of Axson; sons Wesley Mizell and wife, Teresa of Axson and “Lil John” Harvey Gile Mizell of Axson; brother J.D. “Duck” Mizell and wife, Reba of Axson; sisters Madeline “Bat” Dillingham and husband, Glenn of Willacoochee and Anna J. Giddens Boone of Axson; sister-in-law Catherine Mizell of Axson; daughter-in-law Betty Ann Mizell of Axson; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mr. Mizell was preceded in death by a son, Faron Mizell; a brother, James Olin “Coon” Mizell; a sister, Beulah Mae “Tookie” Adams; and a great-nephew, Owen White.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Mizell will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Utah Cemetery in Axson with Bishop Stevie Sirmans and Rev. Edward Mathews officiating.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson is in charge of the arrangements.
