Gary Bennie Lee Anderson, Sr., age 67, of Douglas, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Anderson was born on August 5, 1952, in Douglas, to the late Bennie Lee Anderson and Elzie Davis Anderson.

 

Survivors include: Wife Susan Diane Music Anderson of Douglas; daughters Lynn Anderson of Ambrose, Hope Dietz of Savannah; son Gary Anderson of Axson; sister Joanna Youngblood of Douglas; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; step-children Stephanie Stone, Tonya Jewell, Teny Jewell, and Trampas Bennett.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Jonathan Anderson and  Garrison Dale Anderson; daughter Lacretia Anderson; brothers Robert Anderson,  Tex Anderson, and Carson Anderson; and sisters Patsy Anderson, Carolyn Anderson, and Dorothy Miller.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints with Bishop Michael Jackson officiating.

 

Interment will follow in Jowers Chapel Church Cemetery.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
