Shirley Mancil Bowen, age 68, of Alma, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Twin Oaks Convalescent Center. Ms.  Bowen was born on June 19, 1951, in Douglas, to the late Woodrow Mancil and Louise Kitchens Mancil.

 

Ms. Bowen was employed by Shady Acres for many years as an LPN and she was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include: Daughter Amy Bowen Hodges of Douglas; son Carl Graham of Georgia; sisters Patsy Hurst of Broxton and Caroline Busby of Alma; brothers Tommy (Patricia) Mancil of Alma and J.C. Mancil of Douglas; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  

 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Twin Oaks Convalescent Center in Alma with Rev. Rick Darby officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society or Twin Oaks Convalescent Center in Alma.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
