Mr. Jack Hamilton, age 85 of Nashville, passed away Saturday night, December 21, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton following an extended illness. Mr. Hamilton was born February 6, 1934 to the late Quillie Hamilton and the late Polly Leavens Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton, a native of Douglas and Coffee County, was employed in home construction. He attended Riverside Baptist Church in Nashville.
Survivors include: His wife, Maxine Tanner Hamilton of Nashville; children Ron Hamilton, Don Hamilton and Jacqueline Vickers, all of Douglas; step-children Roy Deen of Milledgeville, Charlie Deen of Austin, Texas, and Angie Dratch of Atlanta; grandchildren Jamie Vickers of Orlando, Fla., Jill Vickers of Jacksonville, Fla., Todd Hamilton, Clint Hamilton, Abby Hamilton, Brice Hamilton and Emma Hamilton, all of Douglas; two great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville with Rev. Kevin Stone and Rev. Freddie Stone officiating.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Mr. Hamilton’s memory to: Medical College of Georgia Foundation, Inc.
