As America rings in the new year, CRMC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic is reminding its patients that if they or a loved one has a non-healing wound, the clinic can help heal that wound.

Approximately 15 percent of Medicare patients in the United States have at least one type of wound or infection. Left untreated, foot or leg wounds may result in limited mobility, lower quality of life and possible amputation.

“The new year is a great time to remind patients that if they are suffering from any type of wound, our center can get them on the path to healing,” said Tracy Martini, Nurse Practitioner and Director of CRMC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic.

CRMC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic recommends that patients call for an appointment or speak with their physician about a referral if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • an existing, slow-to-heal or non-healing wound
  • foot or leg ulcer or wound
  • non-healing surgical wound
  • non-healing skin graft or surgical flap
  • symptoms such as pain or bleeding from a previous radiation treatment site, i.e. bladder, jaw etc.
  • bone infection, also called osteomyelitis
  • crush injury

CRMC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic provides a comprehensive approach to treating patients with non-healing wounds. The team features clinicians with advanced training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine.

CRMC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic is open Monday thru Friday and is located just across Westside Drive from Coffee Regional Medical Center at 304 Westside Drive. For more information about wound care or to schedule an appointment, call 912-720-7002.
