Wiregrass Georgia Technical College held the Fall 2019 Commencement Exercises on Friday, December 13 at the UGA Conference Center in Tifton.  The ceremony honored 383 students who were awarded their associate degree, diploma or technical certificate of credit as well as 41 GED® graduates.  Among those graduating, the college awarded 69 Associate Degrees, 110 Diplomas, and 437 Technical Certificates.  Some students received Technical Certificates in multiple areas.

Megan Wolfe is breaking the mold for what people view careers for women should be.  During her graduation speech, she shared that she was receiving her Automotive Technology diploma, but not stopping there.  “Today, I’m graduating, and next semester I’m starting the Auto Collision Repair program,” announced Wolfe.  She credits Wiregrass for teaching her that Automotive Technology isn’t just for the guys, and that females like her belong in the industry.  Megan enrolled in Automotive Technology to help her work toward a career that could provide for her family and fulfill her lifelong dream of owning a restoration shop.  Megan was a 2020 GOAL top four nominee; GOAL is the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership.  Megan is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter and Student Government Association.

Wiregrass is proud to announce the Fall 2019 graduates for technical certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees listed for Coffee and Atkinson counties:
