Edwin M. ‘Ed’ Bryce

Edwin M. “Ed” Bryce, age 63, of Douglas, passed away on Monday evening, January 27, 2020 at his son’s house in Waynesville. Mr. Bryce was born on June 1, 1956 in Macon, the son of Eveline Sewell Bryce and the late Arthur James Bryce Jr.

 

Mr. Bryce worked for Spectrum Distribution and Walmart Distribution Center.

 

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Harper Bryce of Douglas; two sons, Eric Bryce of Waycross and Eric Wilcox of  Waynesville; step-daughter, Mary Elizabeth Stabler (Scott) of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Nathan Bryce of Waycross and Kaitlyn Bryce of Waycross; mother, Eveline Bryce of Douglas; two sisters, Theresa Leggett (Scott) of Blairsville and Debbie Kirkland (Jimmy) of Douglas; several nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of life service with family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 5pm until 7pm from the family home of Eric Wilcox.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org) or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

 

Memorialization is by cremation.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
