Mr. Joel Raymond Davis, age 51 of Nicholls, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning February 5, 2020 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.V. Mr. Davis was born January 9, 1969 to James N. Davis and Aline Simmons Davis Johns. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Davis and Beth Tuten. Mr. Davis was a native of Ware County, GA. He was self-employed as a heavy equipment salesman.

 

Survivors include: His wif: Jackie Nettles Davis of Nicholls, sons Ronnie Duncan Davis and his fiancee Ashley Hersey of Nicholls, and Joel Austin Davis and wife McKinsey of Nicholls; mother Aline Simmons Johns of Nicholls; father and step-mother James N. Davis and wife Gail of Waycross; brothers Norman Davis and wife Kristie of Blackshear and Jamie Bristow of Waycross; sister Charlotte Klar of Nicholls; five nephews; four nieces and several great nieces and nephews.

 

The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Nettles officiating. The interment will follow in the Meeks Cemetery near Nicholls.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 8, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
